Registration and Start

The event centre is located in the Knighton Community Centre Hall. The large coned off area directly in front of the event centre will act as the Start and Finish line. Inside the hall you will find the mobile bike shop from Epic Cycles, the main information point, plenty of toilets and changing facilities (but no showers) etc.

Once you arrive at the event centre you just need to sign in and pick up your timing chip. Please note that we need everyone to sign in personally, so you will not be able to sign for someone else. The event centre will be open to riders from 7:30am, and it is here that we will publish any last minute information/changes.

You can start at any time between 8:00 and 9:00. Once you have strapped your timing chip (or "dibber") to your wrist and are ready to go, you just pop your dibber in one of the timing stations at the start and set off. There will be test stations at the sign in desk for you to check that your dibber is ok, and to make sure that you are happy with how to dib.

The start of the ride is well sign posted but we will also have marshals on hand to direct you onto the route.

NOTE: If you fail to reach the first food stop in Rhayader at 50km by 12:00 you will be directed towards our short-cut route, which is approximately 25km shorter than the full route and cuts out the biggest single climb. If you arrive before 12:00 and would like to take the shorter route anyway, then please do - it will be clearly sign posted.
