Timing and Standards

Being a cyclosportive the Devil Ride will not be run as a race and we will not be awarding prizes or trophies.

However, that doesn’t mean that you won’t get an accurate time or be unable to compare yourself with others. We will be issuing each rider with an electronic timing chip at registration that will be attached to your bike and recorded as you cycle over mats at the start and finish.

Individual times will be available to riders at the finish. Riders’ times will be posted up in the event centre during the day and on this website within 24 hours.

The Gold standard for the Big Devil is:

All other finishers will be awarded Bronze. The standards use a formula from French cyclosportives that takes into account both distance and altitude gains.
